About AgricultureToday
Who we are
AgricultureToday is an online agricultural newspaper published at agriculturetoday.com as part of the All Farmers, One Platform network. Our reporters and contributors file news, market reports and comment every working day, and the archive stays open to readers. We write for the people who have to act on the news — farmers, growers, contractors, foresters, dealers and agribusiness.
Every message that reaches our team is answered by a person, and enquiries are answered on business days.
What we publish
- Daily reporting on crops, livestock, forestry, policy and trade.
- A market board and written market reports, quoted from the day's trading by our market desk.
- A five-day outlook for four regions, with the almanac a field day is run from.
- Technology reported from the shed — machinery, automation and the trials that test it.
How we work
- Reporting is filed by named desks, and where a figure is reported rather than verified, the story says so.
- We correct an error when it is brought to us and we record the correction, because an archive that is quietly rewritten is an archive nobody can rely on.
- Opinions in columns and letters are the author's own and are not a position of this publication.
- We do not sell personal data and we run no advertising trackers.
Membership
Reading is free and needs no account. An account carries a profile that travels across every site of the network — one registration, one identity, the same privacy handling on each site — and it remembers your language, palette and display preferences. The morning edition, a short note each weekday, can be requested through the contact page.
Where we are going
The network behind AgricultureToday exists so that a farmer, a contractor, a dealer or a grower does not have to explain themselves twice: one account, one profile, and one publication for each trade. This site is published in ten languages and we add more as members ask.
